Are you:
  • Concerned about self defense?
  • Stressed out?
  • Looking to trade a few pounds of fat for muscle?
  • Interested in better self discipline?
  • Motivated to get in shape?
  • Ready to learn a combative street/ring effective martial art?

Most Americans these days look at this list and instantly realize the benefits of martial art training, yet they still hesitate to take that step to reap the rewards.  Think about it, how many people do you know have tried exercise programs, health clubs, gyms, a "buns of steel" video or home exercise equipment?  How long does your average "John Q. Public" stick with these type of plans?  Well, we both know the answer to that.  Sure the road is paved with good intentions, but for any type of program to work, it needs to be done for extended periods.  When in reality most of this stuff is B-O-R-I-N-G!!!!

So why martial arts training?

The answers are simple.

  • Above all, you will learn how to defend yourself!
  • It's a tremendous amount of fun.
  • It's interesting.
  • There is always something new to learn.
  • It's easy to measure your progress.
  • You will make great new friends.

What makes our program different?

There are a lot of approaches to teaching martial arts.  Some schools are very strict and traditional.  You cannot talk in class.  You may never approach your instructor.  Instead you must ask one of the assistants if you have a question.  The head instructor is not only non approachable, but if you make a mistake, they have some pretty interesting ways of making you know it.  None of which make you feel very good!

We are completely opposite on every count.  We are very informal.  Our instructors are some of the most approachable people you will ever meet.  We encourage questions.  All training is hands on!   And last but not least, mistakes are expected.  No one is perfect, especially when you are learning something new.

The fact that you are reading this tells me you are looking for something.  Maybe it is to learn to defend yourself.  Maybe to get in shape or lose weight.  Maybe you want to increase your self discipline or self confidence.  Perhaps you have always wanted to learn martial arts.  Maybe you just want to participate in a fun activity with other fine adults.

You can do all of these things and more in the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu System!

Over the years, we have personally seen students:

  • Successfully defend themselves in actual street assaults.
  • Transfer their art into "the cage" in Mixed Martial Arts competitions.
  • Loose up to 90 lbs.
  • Increase their sense of well being.
  • Increase self discipline to move ahead in their personal lives.
  • Increase their confidence which has led to promotions in the workplace.
  • Set and reach new goals that once seemed unobtainable.
